Sound cruel and ineffective? That would be like me buying gibson les paul customs for like 1,300 for the studio edition. Then smashing after each like 2 min. riff I play haha.

Yup I believe they are tuned higher than standard on a guitar. Not exactly sure. Plus only 5 strings normally.

its cause of how small the instrument is in itself not really tuning as much, the larger the instrument the deeper the sound, and vice versa

yeah that has to do with the scale length and tension (tuning) of the strings........

Happy day, just got my Frankenstein Cello tuned and the sound post put back in place. I named it The Church. It is a great instrument, can't wait to put on the original tailpiece and play it with 3 strings...just awesome.
